Day-to-day of the role:
  • Financial Operations: Engage in all aspects of financial management, including payroll, invoicing, and managing accounts both payable and receivable.
  • Data Management: Ensure accuracy in data entry across CRM and financial systems, enhancing financial integrity and operational efficiency.
  • Reconciliation and Reporting: Perform meticulous bank reconciliations and assist in the preparation of detailed financial reports that drive business decisions.
  • Credit Control: Play a key role in credit management, ensuring timely collections and maintaining healthy cash flows.
  • Customer Interaction: Handle sensitive financial inquiries with professionalism, providing clear and concise information to both clients and suppliers.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Fundamental Expertise: Must have GCSEs in English and Maths at Grade C or above.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero), Microsoft Excel, and the ability to manage financial databases.
  • Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail, capable of interpreting complex financial data.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills are essential for managing relationships and explaining financial information clearly.
  • Proactivity: Looking for a self-starter who is motivated to take initiative and can work independently under tight deadlines.
  • Desirable: AAT qualification or similar; experience in a finance role within a membership-based organisation is a plus.
