Transport for London (TfL) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Procurement Manager to join their Procurement team, focusing on the procurement of the Infrastructure Works category to do with elevators and escalators. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our procurement processes, contributing to the seamless operation of London's transport network.
Pay rate: £405.59 per day via PAYE or £529.95 per day via Umbrella
Duration: 3 months contract, hybrid work – 2-to-3-day office based
Location: Walking distance from Southwark station
Key Responsibilities:
Negotiate, deliver, and communicate contract and framework agreements that drive efficiencies in line with our financial reporting and forecasting systems.
Lead contract reviews and negotiations throughout their term to ensure they remain fit for purpose with respect to scope, budget, and performance changes. You will also be responsible for the development, negotiation, and agreement of TfL Change Requests.
Collaborate with users to communicate effective processes and with suppliers to convey business plans.
Ensure that contract and framework developments meet TfL's responsible procurement obligations and preferences, as well as corporate health, safety, equality, quality, and environmental requirements.
Enhance the efficiency and reduce the costs of the procurement process by participating in the re-engineering of business processes and procedures.
Approve and implement procurement strategies and advice (tendering, evaluation, award, and contract management) efficiently using preferred technology-based methods.
Serve as the focal point for key suppliers, categories, and markets within the department, addressing strategy and tactics development, dispute resolution, supplier viability, and relationship management.
Participate in technology solutions by implementing, evaluating, or providing feedback to improve strategic and operational procurement.
Lead or contribute to the development of departmental business plans and demand forecasts, and support capacity planning to ensure appropriate resource allocation to projects and programmes.
